Transportation (please note changes)
We have negotiated a very good rate with a local transportation service to give you better rates than other commercial services. Please make ALL of your Tampa airport transport reservations DIRECTLY WITH SUE. BeadCamp will no longer be in the loop. But please send us your itinerary too so we will know when to expect you. Here's the information:
"Airport Trips" (Private Car Service)
941-412-3314 or 941-266-7747
Fare: $80 for the first rider, plus $10 more for each additional person, plus tip. (All BeadCamper riders traveling at the same time will average out the cost and pay Sue directly. Example: one rider $80, two riders $45 each, three riders $33 each, four riders $27.50 each, etc. ) Please note that Sue does not accept credit cards so have either cash or a personal check available for payment to her. Don't forget to tell her you want a drop off on Sunday morning as well.
There will still be the same 5:00 Monday afternoon pick up time and the 10:00 drop off at Tampa airport on Sunday morning. If you want private pick up at other times from Tampa check with Sue to see her availability. If you are arriving in Tampa please still send us your itinerary so we will know when to expect you.
There are other limo services but they will cost between $120–$140 per person so traveling with Sue is much more economical. Rental cars are another option but not really needed during BeadCamp because we provide free local transportation. We will be happy to take you to a local rental car agency in Venice or at Sarasota International Airport to return your car upon arrival.
Sarasota Airport Pickup:
Pick up at Sarasota International Airport will be done by Jetze or Marley. The cost is $20 per person each way any time between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Monday and drop off Sunday morning to be determined by the group. (if you can not make that time frame contact Sue for a special Sarasota pick up for $40) If you are arriving in Sarasota, please send us your itinerary so we can communicate with you about your needs.
(If you are arriving on a different day or are an international traveler contact us directly so we can make special arrangements for you
What, When, Where, and How
The instructors will be teaching and sharing ideas every step of the way. There will be formal demonstrations and informal “instructor time” for extra tips and experimenting. Plus lots of “me time” for students to practice or play. We can also visit the nearby beautiful Venice/Nokomis beaches and maybe a few local pubs and restaurants. Visit the links for the instructors to learn more about their work.
Take off those shoes, smell the sea air, and feel the warm breeze in your hair!
Wow, in one class of eight students we have one from Sweden and one from Venezuela! Little BeadCamp has worldwide friends!
Registration Fees, Transportation and Lodging
Most BeadCamps are held during "high season" in our part of Florida so we have arranged a variety of lodging options. Please email or call us for details. Plan to come a day early (Monday) and leave Sunday morning.
