Corina Tettinger

Passing the Flame and Beyond

This class is appropriate for advanced beginners and intermediate students. It will cover the techniques from Corina's book "Passing the Flame" which is considered by many to be the bible of flameworking. It has been a constant guide to most of us. But in this class you get it from the "horse's mouth" so to speak. Watching Corina in action is a great treat and is almost enough in itself, but having her as an instructor is even better.

She will cover the dreaded stringer control and dispel the mystery of how to do it successfully. She will focus on heat control, the real answer to good beadmaking. Students will learn to use elements such as silver leaf and dichroic, and learn three different ways to encase successfully. She will teach basic sculpture with her frogs and other creatures. And a big dose of beautiful flowers both encased and painted on the surface. Corina will also demonstrate most anything you want to know, so come with your list!

Corina is an internationally known lampworker and instructor who has a wide repertoire of techniques which she freely shares with students. She is the author of "Passing the Flame", the "go to book" for learning how to make glass beads. Corina teaches all over the world and studied with many international glass artists.
